This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-52554. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
GPIP137 regulates the transport and translation of mRNAs of proteins involved in synaptic plasticity in neurons and cell proliferation/migration in multiple cell types. It binds directly and selectively to MYC and CCND2 RNAs. In neuronal cells, GPIP137 binds to several mRNAs associated with RNA granules including BDNF, CAMK2A, CREB1, MAP2, NTRK2, mRNAs, GRIN1, and KPNB1 mRNAs.
