This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-84749. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
TDRD3 belongs to the tudor domain group of proteins, which are prevalent among proteins involved in RNA metabolism. TDRD3 is widely expressed and localizes predominantly in the cytoplasm. It is detected in heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, and pancreas. Overexpression of TDRD3 in cells induces the formation of stress granules. Multiple isoforms of TDRD3 exist due to alternative splicing variants. In humans, the gene is located on chromosome 13.
