Recombinant rat IL-17E is a non-glycosylated, disulfide-linked homodimer, containing two 145 amino acid proteins , with a total molecular weight of 35.5 kDa. Purity is typically greater than 97% and endotoxin level less than 1 EU/ug.
The expected biological activity (ED50) is determined by the dose-dependent induction of human IL-8 production in cultured human PBMCs and is typically less than 100 ng/mL. The specific activity of this protein is 1x10^4 units/mg.
Reconstitute using sterile 20mM HCl at 0.1 mg/mL and centrifuge prior to opening vial. Gently pipet solution down the sides of the vial. DO NOT VORTEX sample. Store reconstituted material at -20°C and add 0.1% BSA for additional stability.

Target Information
Interleukin 25 (IL-25) is a member of the IL-17 family and is identified as a proinflammatory cytokine which is produced by Th17 effector cells thus enabling the Th17 subset to initiate or maintain the autoimmune process in diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis. IL-25 also induces activation of NF-kappa-B and stimulates production of the proinflammatory chemokine IL-8. IL-25 itself is activated through IL-23, IL-5, and TGF-beta.
