Oncomine Childhood Cancer Research NGS Assay

Because childhood and young adult cancer are different

The types and driving genetic aberrations of these malignancies are different than those affecting the adult population, so a specifically designed, targeted but comprehensive panel is needed to advance clinical research and future precision oncology therapeutic solutions.

Oncomine Childhood Cancer Research Assay

The Ion Torrent Oncomine Childhood Cancer Research Assay is a next-generation sequencing (NGS) assay designed for comprehensive genomic profiling of childhood and rare cancer types including:

  • Childhood leukemias
  • Lymphomas
  • Sarcomas
  • Central nervous system and brain neoplasms

Comprehensive panel design with both a DNA and RNA component

Compiled by leading researchers and pediatric oncologists, the Oncomine Childhood Cancer Research Assay provides coverage of 203 unique genes, including thousands of fusion drivers that more commonly occur in childhood sarcomas and leukemias.

Optimized NGS workflow for fast results

The end-to-end workflow enables the analysis of a variety of sample types, including blood and bone marrow, fresh/frozen tissue, and FFPE tissue, in 2–3 days from sample to result. Up to eight samples can be multiplexed on a single Ion 540 Chip, allowing for flexibility in batch size.

It's NGS made easy with the Ion GeneStudio S5 System

The Ion GeneStudio S5 System is an advanced NGS system that leverages semiconductor technology to enable fast, accurate, and cost-effective genomic analysis, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including targeted sequencing, gene expression profiling, and metagenomics.
