Organisms Compatible with the MICROBExpress™ mRNA Isolation Kit

Ambion has thoroughly searched 16S rRNA and 23S rRNA sequences from published genome sequences and from various databases and has identified organisms that should be compatible with the MICROBExpress Kit. Ambion has also identified organisms that are partially compatible with MICROBExpress and those that are incompatible with MICROBExpress.

Information regarding compatibility of some bacterial species whose genome sequences are in progress may not be available at this time.

Some bacterial species process the 23S rRNA into smaller fragments (usually two). Although the sequence of the capture oligonucleotides used in MICROBExpress may be compatible with these species, the MICROBExpress Kit may not function to completely remove shortened fragments of processed 23S rRNA.
