Ovarioles from Drosophila melanogaster.

Filamentous actin (F-actin), localized near the membranes and the intercellular cytoplasmic bridges or ring canals of D. melanogaster ovarioles, was stained with red-fluorescent Texas Red®-X phalloidin (Cat. No. T7471). Nuclei of the follicle cells surrounding the ovarioles and nuclei of the nurse cells within the egg chambers were stained with Hoechst 33258 (Cat. No. H1398, H3569, H21491). The signal from the Hoechst 33258 dye has been pseudocolored green. The image was contributed by Ming-Der Lin, National Taiwan University.
