Polymerized microtubules. Oregon Green® 514 tubulin.

Microtubules formed from a solution of Oregon Green® 514 tubulin (T12391) in a polymerization buffer consisting of 0.5 mg GTP in 1 mL of 1% DMSO, 1 mM MgCl2, 1 mM EDTA and 80 mM PIPES at pH 6.8. This solution was subsequently diluted 1:4, pipetted onto a glass slide and photographed using an epifluorescence microscope equipped with a longpass filter appropriate for fluorescein.
