ubcellular structures in fixed and permeabilized bovine pulmonary artery endothelial cells visualized with several fluorescent dyes.

Subcellular structures in fixed and permeabilized bovine pulmonary artery endothelial cells visualized with several fluorescent dyes. Filamentous actin (F-actin) was identified with Alexa Fluor® 633 phalloidin (Cat. no. A22284), which is pseudocolored magenta. Lipophilic regions of the cell, including intracellular membranes, were stained with green-fluorescent DiOC6(3) (Cat. no. D273). Finally, nuclei were counterstained with blue-fluorescent DAPI (Cat. no. D1306, D3571, D21490). The image was acquired using filters appropriate for fluorescein and DAPI and a special filter (courtesy of Omega Optical) for the Alexa Fluor® 633 dye, consisting of a narrow band exciter (Cat. no. 630DF10), dichroic (Cat. no. 640DRLP) and emitter (Cat. no. 660DF10).
