GM130 Antibody (703794RP488) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence analysis of GM130 was performed using GM130 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal antibody (10H5L5), Alexa Fluor™ Plus 488 (Product # 703794RP488, 1:400) on 70-80% confluent HeLa cells. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 for 15 minutes and blocked with 2% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature. Using conjugate solutions: Centrifuge the protein conjugate solution briefly in a microcentrifuge before use; add only the supernatant to the experiment. This step will help eliminate any protein aggregates that may have formed during storage, thereby reducing nonspecific background staining.
It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.

Target Information
The Golgi apparatus, which participates in glycosylation and transport of proteins and lipids in the secretory pathway, consists of a series of stacked cisternae (flattened membrane sacs). Interactions between the Golgi and microtubules are thought to be important for the reorganization of the Golgi after it fragments during mitosis. This gene encodes one of the golgins, a family of proteins localized to the Golgi. This encoded protein has been postulated to play roles in the stacking of Golgi cisternae and in vesicular transport. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of these variants has not been determined.
