KChIP2b is an isoform of the Kv Channel-Interacting Protein 2 (KChIP2), which is a regulatory subunit that interacts with voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels. This isoform modulates the biophysical properties of Kv channels, including their inactivation kinetics and surface expression, thereby influencing cardiac and neuronal excitability. Dysregulation of KChIP2b can impact heart function and has been implicated in conditions such as cardiac arrhythmias.
