Service plan features
All of our core service plans for Thermo Scientific analytical instruments and laboratory equipment include preventive maintenance, enhanced technical support, and fast on-site repair response times. For labs that have more specialized requirements, we also offer industry-specific plans tailored to your needs.
Proactive, regular preventive maintenance helps to increase the life of your instrument, maximizes uptime, and helps maintain your instrument’s peak performance. Unlimited, enhanced technical support and digital remote support tools offer faster troubleshooting, diagnosis, and remote resolution. Priority, on-site repair provides faster response times to meet your needs. On average, our core service plan customers get a response two times faster compared to those without a plan.
*Internal records suggest that proactive, annual preventive maintenance can decrease instrument downtime by as much as 30% when compared to ad hoc time and materials repair visits.
Analytical instrument service plans
Every new instrument purchase comes with a 1- to 3-year factory warranty. Extended coverage service plans are also available at the time of instrument purchase.
We offer service plans for mass spectrometry, chromatography, trace elemental, molecular spectroscopy, sample preparation, and discrete industrial analyzer instruments. To get you up and running faster, our plans are designed to balance your response needs, productivity, and uptime requirements.

Lab equipment service plans
Our core service plans, Tech Direct and Total Care, help improve your productivity, increase uptime, maintain peak performance, and reduce your total cost of ownership. Service plans are available for biological safety cabinets, centrifuges, cold storage (freezers and refrigerators), CO2 incubators, environmental chambers, water purification systems, and other lab equipment.

*One business day response time for corrective maintenance is available in selected locations and excludes all biological safety cabinet (BSC) equipment in the United States. The response time begins once a service order ticket is created for the field service engineer (FSE). Where one-day response is unavailable, these service bundle packages remain available, and we will make every reasonable effort to provide a priority response based on FSE availability. **Calibrations will meet ISO 9001 standards, with an option to upgrade to ISO/IEC 17025 standards in selected locations. In the United States, NS 49 certification will be provided for BSC equipment, while in Europe, verification will be conducted in accordance with EN 12469 standards instead of calibration.
