The Countess Reusable Slide (Cat. No. A25750) is compatible with the Countess II FL and the Countess 3/3 FL instruments. However, they require a reusable slide holder specific to the instrument. The Countess 3 & 3 FL Reusable Slide Holder (Cat. No. A48208) and the Countess II FL Reusable Slide Holder (Cat No. AMEP4746) are shipped with the instrument and can be purchased separately.

The slide holder can be held inside the back of the instrument, next to the light cube removal tool.

Where may I purchase the coverslips provided with the Countess Reusable Slide (Cat no. A25750) as a stand-alone product?

Hausser Scientific Cover Glasses/Slips (Cat. No. 02-617-581) can be purchased through Fisher Scientific; these are 20 x 26 x 0.5 mm borosilicate glass coverslips.

Can a conventional cell counting chamber be used with the Countess 3 & 3 FL Reusable Slide Holder (Cat. No. A48208)?

No. The Countess 3 & 3 FL Reusable Slide Holder (Cat. No. A48208) and the Countess instruments will only work with the Countess Reusable Slide (Cat. No. A25750). Using other slides can damage the instrument, due to differences in the height and width of the slides.
