Die flache Thermo Scientific PCR-Platte (grün) hat flachere Wells als die Platte mit Standardprofil (AB-0600), wodurch der Totraum zwischen dem beheizten Deckel des Thermocyclers und der Probe verringert wird. Dadurch wird Kondensation an der Seitenwand des Röhrchens verhindert, was wiederum eine Verringerung des PCR-Volumens verhindert und die Effizienz der Reaktion erhöht. Diese Produkte mit flachem Profil werden besonders für die Verwendung mit Reaktionsvolumen unter 20 µl empfohlen.
