Automated enzyme assay

Automated enzyme assay

Meet the Gallery Enzyme Master - the first automated enzyme analyzer designed specifically for enzyme assay applications. Combining robust hardware and new custom designed software, this best-in-class solution delivers fully-automated incubation settings, reagent additions, and precise measurement calculations—all with a touch of a button. This enzyme analyzer offers the smartest (and fastest) way yet to streamline method development and deliver reliable results from enzyme assay analysis.

Enzyme assays are laboratory methods that measure the rate of enzyme reactions (enzyme activity). These assays also help to develop enzyme discovery and study enzyme catalytic mechanisms. Enzyme activity and enzyme assay are vital for the study of enzyme kinetics and enzyme inhibition. Usually the assay is carried out by determining the enzyme activity with and without activation by an added coenzyme. The activity can be monitored by measuring changes in concentration of substrates or products during the reaction.

From method development to routine analysis, set it and forget it: Enzyme efficiency finally mastered

Break free from the limitations of UV-VIS spectrophotometry. The Gallery Enzyme Master is the first automated discrete analyzer designed specifically for enzyme assay applications.  Many different enzymes and measuring conditions are managed—all in a single instrument that offers consistent and reliable performance.  Combining robust hardware and new custom designed software, this best-in-class solution streamlines enzyme method development and reliable routine enzyme assay/activity testing—for walkaway efficiency, day in and day out. You’ll appreciate fully automated reagents, incubations, and measurements that ensure your method and results can be easily duplicated in other labs, and the time- and labor-savings speak for themselves.

See how the Gallery Enzyme Master enzyme analyzer will automate your workflow and give you the ability to provide parallel optimal pH measurements, full traceability, and reliable method development and transferability.

Measuring enzyme parameters using UV-VIS spectrophotometry can be slow-going. Why settle for low-throughput when you can accelerate speed through automation? An exciting evolution in efficiency has arrived. With the Gallery Enzyme Master discrete enzyme analyzer, samples are simultaneously prepared and waiting in the queue—delivering results one after another. Thanks to custom designed software, all reagent additions, incubations, and measurements are fully automated, which saves time, eliminates manual error, and improves method robustness. And with reliable instrumentation, you can facilitate a simple method transfer from R&D to the QA/QC floor. With the flexibility and automation of the Thermo Scientific Gallery discrete analyzer portfolio, you’re all set to meet your lab's current needs—and your future needs, too.

Gallery Enzyme Master enzyme analyzer customer testimonials

novozymes-logo-270x195

Sofie Wendel, Senior Department Manager, Assay Technology & Analytics at Novozymes A/S

“Our enzyme assays were developed and standardized based on legacy discrete analyzers. Our continued collaboration with Thermo Scientific resulted in improved and customized software for enzyme assays, and we replaced all the legacy discrete analyzers with the new Gallery Enzyme Master enzyme analyzers. The Gallery Enzyme Master delivers an efficient solution to the challenges of enzyme analysis, providing a tight temperature control, generating robust results. A major advantage is that the Gallery Enzyme Master makes transferability across the globe easier by enabling distribution from a central method development lab.”

Erica Fritse, Global QC Governance Manager at DSM

“When needing an alternative for our aging population of Discrete Analyzers, we decided to replace it with the new Thermo Scientific Gallery Plus. The Gallery Enzyme Master ensures that we can continue with temperature-controlled measurement of the activity of our enzymes. We use the Gallery Enzyme Master for R&D development and QC release on one easy-to-use, automated system. A big advantage is the central, global management of the measuring protocols. This makes assurance of the use of the latest updated methods easier than ever before.”

Get more from your enzyme method development process—starting with walkaway efficiency. Thermo Scientific Gallery enzyme analyzers are fully-automated, sample oriented random-access analyzers. Many different tests can be run simultaneously from a single sample. Gallery enzyme analyzers employ colorimetric endpoint and kinetic as well as turbidimetric and bichromatic reactions with or without sample blanking. The analyzers include a combined sample and reagent disk for a maximum capacity of 90 samples and 30 reagents, with the ability to perform up to 200 tests/hour. The wavelength range covers filter configurations from 340nm up to 880nm. An optional, integrated ECM unit supports conductivity and pH measurements over a wide range. The ECM unit can measure up to 67 samples per hour for pH parallelly with other photometric tests.
