          Kir6.1 (KCNJ8) Antibody (MA5-45744) in ICC/IF

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis using human neuroblastoma cells. Fixation involved 4% Formaldehyde for 15 min at RT. Samples were incubated with Kir6.1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45744) at 1:100 for 60 min at RT, followed by Goat Anti-Mouse ATTO 488 at 1:100 for 60 min at RT. Counterstain used was Phalloidin Texas Red F-Actin stain; DAPI (blue) nuclear stain at 1:1,000, 1:5,000 for 6... View More {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. Product Specific Information

A 1:100 dilution of MA5-45744 was sufficient for detection of Kir6.1 in 20 µg of mouse brain lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. |Detects approximately 45kDa.

This antibody was formerly sold as clone S366-60.

          Target Information

Potassium channels are present in most mammalian cells, where they participate in a wide range of physiologic responses. KCNJ8 is an integral membrane protein and inward-rectifier type potassium channel. KCNJ8, which has a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into a cell rather than out of a cell, is controlled by G-proteins.Potassium channels are present in most mammalian cells, where they participate in a wide range of physiologic responses. The protein encoded by this gene is an integral membrane protein and inward-rectifier type potassium channel.
