TaqMan® OpenArray® Genotyping Plates can be custom designed with your choice of predesigned or custom TaqMan® SNP Genotyping Assays, or TaqMan® Drug Metabolism (DME) Assays to generate data for greater than 70,000 genotypes in a single day.
TaqMan® OpenArray® Genotyping Plates are delivered with your selected TaqMan® SNP Genotyping Assays pre-loaded and dried down in the through-holes based on your specifications, based on six available formats. Simply mix your sample and TaqMan® OpenArray® Genotyping Master Mix, load onto the OpenArray® Plate, seal, cycle and image. The OpenArray® Real-Time PCR System’s workflow enables one person to validate or screen up to 256 SNPs across >1,500 samples in one day without the use of robotics. One person can therefore generate data for over 70,000 genotypes per day.
This system provides high performance and reproducibility for screening and validating complex disease associations, marker-assisted breeding, or other studies requiring large sample sizes (Figures 1 and 2).
