Antibody Isotyping and Characterization
Identify & quantify immunoglobulin isotypes.
Immunoglobulin (IgG, IgA, IgE, IgM) isotyping and quantitation are important screening and testing steps in rat and mouse monoclonal antibody development and production. Immune responses in ascites fluid must be evaluated and the immunoglobulin class and subclass identities of screened and isolated antibody-producing hybridomas must be determined.
Several different kinds of assay kits are available for antibody isotyping, depending on the needed scale, desired throughput, and available detection equipment. These include ELISA kits, multiplex assays for Luminex™ systems, rapid test cassettes, and microagglutination titer assays.
