Monodisperse particles

The advantages of monodisperse particles in chromatography column technology

In chromatography column technology, the choice of particle size and distribution is crucial in achieving optimal separation efficiency and reliable results.  Monodisperse particles deliver reproducibility, efficiency, enhanced resolution, and throughput, making them a superior choice in many chromatography applications.

  • Reproducibility: Offering consistent size and uniformity, our proprietary MDi monodisperse particles ensure consistent particle size distribution for column-to-column and batch-to-batch reproducibility, offering consistent results and robust, easy-to-validate methods.
  • Enhanced efficiency and resolution: Leveraging the power of monodisperse particles, the homogeneity of the packing is improved thereby reducing peak broadening effects such as eddy-diffusion. This is further improved by the small 3 µm particle size, leading to sharper and better-resolved peaks.
  • Higher throughput: 3 µm particles can be used at higher linear velocity compared to traditional 5 µm technologies, without compromising on efficiency. Moreover, the fast mass transfer rate of non-porous particles unlocks significant throughput improvements. This translates to shorter run-times and the ability to process more samples in a shorter timeframe.

Inert column hardware

Inert hardware refers to the use of materials that eliminate interactions with the sample, ensuring sample integrity and recovery. This type of hardware is particularly advantageous in biopharmaceutical analysis, where the accuracy and reliability of results are crucial. By reducing unwanted interactions, inert hardware helps to maintain sample integrity, prevent degradation or adsorption, and promote injection-to-injection reproducibility.

  • Maintains the integrity of the target molecule by minimizing interactions between the column hardware and the sample.
  • Promotes reproducibility and consistency in analysis by eliminating or reducing interactions between the hardware and the sample.
  • Offers excellent chemical compatibility, allowing for a wide range of solvents and mobile phases to be used without compromising the integrity of the column.
  • Improves reproducibility by maintaining consistent separation performance and sample recovery across multiple runs.

ProPac 3R columns

ProPac 3R SCX and SAX 3 μm columns provide the reproducibility, resolution, and robustness needed for protein characterization. These columns are ideal for charge variant analysis and recommended for use with therapeutic proteins, monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), and biosimilars.

Designed with bioinert materials to reduce secondary interactions, our ProPac 3R SCX and SAX columns deliver the performance you need over a broad range of pH's, temperatures, and mobile phase compositions with excellent recovery and low carryover.

SurePac Bio 550 SEC MDi columns

SurePac Bio 550 SEC MDi columns are exclusively designed to deliver robust and reproducible performance at high resolution and throughput to accelerate your therapeutics analysis process.

Designed with bioinert materials to reduce secondary interactions, SurePac Bio 550 SEC MDi columns are ideal for AAV gene therapeutics analysis and offers excellent selectivity due to the dedicated smaller particle (3 µm) size combined with wide-pore (550Å) for separating monomeric AAVs from aggregates based on their size differences.
