Celleste Image Analysis Software (version 5.0) is a full-feature image analysis suite designed for a range of biological applications, from image adjustments and processing with manual and automatic measurements over multiple channels, to segmentation and classification tools that help you transform images into quantitative data in a streamlined and customizable workflow. Optional modules for deconvolution, 3D visualization, and 3D analysis allow you to customize the capabilities according to your needs.
Coupled with the powerful image acquisition capabilities of the EVOS microscopes, Celleste software allows you to seamlessly capture, process, segment, classify, measure, analyze and share images and data.
Celleste 5.0 software offers powerful tools to segment, count, size, classify and analyze complex images, including machine learning algorithms for advanced image analysis and quantitation. Base functionality includes segmentation and classification, cell counting, colocalization, intensity and migration tracking over time, and tiling and stitching. You can apply one-click macros, perform batch analysis, and export functions to large image set
Deconvolution is an algorithm-based process used to restore systematic loss of image contrast (blur) that may result from the imaging point spread function (PSF). The powerful 2D and 3D restoration algorithms available in Celleste 5.0 modules allow you to deconvolve your images to simply enhance contrast and quality, or to visualize them in Z, in time, and by channel. Then analyze the resulting image using an expanded tool set.
The 3D Visualization module includes tools to adjust background and transparency, apply different projection types, and create and enhance 3D movies. The 3D Analysis module adds guided segmentation for complex 3D objects to facilitate identification and measurement.
The image manipulation and analysis tools in Celleste software are useful in a broad range of applications, such as cell viability, apoptosis, cell cycle, live/dead cell analysis, transfection efficiency, immunohistochemistry analysis, migration tracking, wound healing, adipogenesis, and cytoskeletal disruption. For application notes detailing the use of Celleste software in several of these applications, and references to published papers that have used it, see Resources.
