QuantStudio real-time PCR system customers can choose an on-site service plan in which we come to you. These plans include guaranteed response times in most regions, scheduled planned maintenance, and priority access to technical support.

Planned maintenance service

All service plans include an annual planned maintenance (PM). For the QuantStudio 6 and 7 Pro real-time PCR systems a 2 PM plan is also available. During a PM service visit, the field service engineer will perform the following:

  • Inspection of the system
  • Software update if required
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and alignment of relevant mechanical parts
  • Cleaning and alignment of optical systems
  • Functional tests and performance verification
  • Documentation of maintenance tasks, results, and findings 

Qualification services

You can add qualification services to complement your service plan. Instrument hardware qualifications for the QuantStudio systems include: installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ), and performance qualification (PQ) or instrument performance verification (IPV). These services verify and document your instrument’s ability to meet manufacturer design specifications for performance.

 

IQ—provides documented evidence and verification that the instrument has been delivered and installed according to manufacturer’s specifications 

 

OQ—provides documented verification that the instrument subsystems are operating as designed. Verifies that the functionality of an instrument meets the manufacturer’s operational specifications.

 

PQ or IPV—provides documented verification that the instrument system can perform effectively and reproducibly within performance specifications. Helps ensure confidence in results by verifying that the accuracy and precision of an instrument is maintained. 

 

IQ and OQ are recommended at installation or when moving the instrument. Our qualification specialists will partner with you to deliver timely, cost-effective, and trusted qualification services that including reliable audit-style documentation that will help ensure your instruments meet regulatory requirements.

Warranty and system setup

During the first year all costs for travel or shipping, labor, and parts for repairs are covered. Installation varies by system from on-site system installation by professionally trained field service engineers to user installation with the aid of our Digital SmartStart orientation. See individual model pages for more details.


Digital remote support

Through immersive, real-time collaboration tools, we can help identify and possibly resolve issues remotely in minutes, helping to eliminate the need for on-site repairs that could keep you idle for days. Included with all QuantStudio real-time pcr systems. 

Smart Help

Currently available for the Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 6 and 7 Pro Real-Time PCR Systems, this instrument-driven support streamlines issue resolution by enabling push-button log and run file delivery to technical support to help get you up and running faster.
