TaqMan hPSC Scorecard Panel Instrument Requirements
|Several Applied Biosystems® real-time PCR platforms are compatible with the TaqMan® hPSC Scorecard™ Panel. If you already have any ofthese instruments installed you just need to download the template file (.edt or .sdt), import it into your instrument's data collection software, and then begin your experiment:
If you are less familiar with the Applied Biosystems® real-time PCR platforms, we are happy to help you choose the best instrument for your laboratory’s needs, locate a nearby instrument which you may be able to use, or we can run the hPSC Scorecard™ assay for you with our CellModel™ Characterization Services.

Set up for hPSC Scorecard™ data collection in 3 easy steps!
1. Load your template file
Download the corresponding template file below and open it in the instrument software. The template file contains all of the necessary cycling parameters and sample names to save you time and make sure the instrument is set up correctly.
2. Insert your plate and Go!
Insert your TaqMan® hPSC Scorecard™ plate into the instrument and start the run.
3. Save your data and analyze
After the run is complete, just save your data in a desired location, and you are done. All of the data analysis can be performed by the TaqMan® hPSC Scorecard™ Data Analysis software

What’s in the template files?
The template file contains all of the necessary instrument parameters to run the TaqMan® hPSC Scorecard™ panel. Using the template file not only saves you time, but you can be confident that your instrument is set-up correctly.
What is the difference between a template file (.edt) vs. an experiment file (.eds)?
The template file (.edt or .sdt) provides the thermal protocol and well labels to the instrument’s data collection software. The experiment file (.eds or .sds) contains all of the data from the qPCR run. Please note that in the case of the 7900HT, results must be exported into a .txt file in order to upload into the hPSC Scorecard™ Analysis Software. The software does not recognize the .sds file format.
How long does a run typically take?
The 96-well Fast cycling block enables data collection in little as 30 mins. The 384-well standard block (containing up to 4 samples) typically takes 90 mins. The exact run times of your instrument may vary.
How do I analyze my data?
After you have your experiment file (.eds), proceed to the TaqMan® hPSC Scorecard™ analysis software for data analysis.
My .sds data file from the 7500 is not compatible with the hPSC Scorecard Analysis Software. What can I do?
Download the 7500 2.x software to any computer (it does not have to be connected to the 7500 instrument itself), install the software, import the .sds file and save as an .eds file. Your data file is now compatible with the hPSC Scorecard Analysis Software.
