Choose from a wide range of instruments that reliably measure air quality, low and high levels of criteria pollutants, various gases, and toxins according to your needs.

Carbon Dioxide (CO₂)

Human activity such as burning fossil fuels (coal, natural gas, and oil), solid waste, trees, and other materials, as well as some chemical reactions can release large amounts of CO₂ into the air. As such, continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide has become critical to compliance with every increasing government regulation for industry.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has taken regulatory actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Measuring carbon dioxide in emissions

Our CO₂ analyzers employ reliable Nondispersive Infrared (NDIR) technology for long instrument life and advanced optical filters for accuracy.

Carbon Monoxide (CO)

CO is a colorless, odorless gas that is naturally occurring but can cause sickness and death when present in large concentrations.

Carbon Monoxide (CO) is one of the six air pollutants controlled by EPA's National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).

Detecting poisonous carbon monoxide

Our CO analyzers use advanced gas filter correlation technology to detect and measure CO gas concentrations in ambient air.

Hydrocarbons (CₙH2ₙ+2)

Monitoring hydrocarbons is crucial for environmental protection, industrial safety, and regulatory compliance. Hydrocarbons can be found, among other places, throughout petrochemical plants, refineries, and chemical manufacturing. Hydrocarbons contribute to the formation of ground-level ozone and smog, which can harm respiratory health, thus making effective air quality monitoring essential.

Hydrocarbons can be effectively monitored, helping to protect human health and the environment

Thermo Scientific emissions monitoring and source gas monitoring automated systems provide real-time monitoring of hydrocarbon emissions from industrial stacks and processes, which is essential for regulatory compliance and helping to ensure that emissions remain within permitted limits.

Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S)

Hydrogen sulfide is an extremely flammable and highly toxic gas.  It is dangerous even at low concentrations and it occurs naturally in sewers, manure pits, well water, oil and gas wells, but is also used or produced in many manufacturing and industrial activities.

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) poses a significant risk to worker safety in the oil and gas production, mining, paper production and wastewater treatment industries, among others.

Reliable data capture

Hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide analyzers utilize pulsed fluorescence technology for precise detection and concentration measurements of H₂S and S0₂ in the air.

Nitrogen (N₂) and Nitrous Oxide Species (NO, NO₂, NOₓ NOᵧ)

Various nitrogen and nitrous oxide compounds (NO, NO2, NOY, NOx ) are emitted during agricultural, land use, industrial activities, fossil fuels combustion, solid waste management and the treatment of wastewater.  As these gases can be harmful in various concentrations, careful and accurate monitoring is essential.

N2 accounts for ~7% of all US greenhouse gas emissions from human activities.

Predictive diagnostics

Our analyzers utilize chemiluminescence technology to measure the amount of nitrogen, and nitrous oxides in the air from sub-ppb levels up to 1000ppb.

Selective catalytic reduction (SCR)

Selective noncatalytic reduction (SNCR) is a post-combustion emissions control technology for reducing NOx by injecting an ammonia-type reactant into the furnace at a properly determined location. We have the experience and technology available to help you comply with ammonia slip regulations, or to make measurements to optimize your process for De-NOx in the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) or Selective noncatalytic reduction (SNCR) of coal and gas power plants.

Coal-fired and gas power plants are significant sources of NOx emissions

Sulfur Dioxide (SO₂)

Sulfur dioxide (SO₂) is produced in significant quantity through the burning of fossil fuels during the production of energy and other industrial processes, including industrial transportation.  Sulfur dioxide can harm the human respiratory system and contribute to environmental pollution.

SO₂ is the sulfur oxide of most concern to regulatory agencies.

Highly precise
