The adventitial layer was dissected from the aorta and cells were isolated with the use of collagenase. The cells that attached were cultured in DMEM, supplemented with L-glutamine, 100 U/mL penicillin, 100 ug/mL streptomycin, and 10% fetal bovine serum.
